Syntony GNSS, a leading provider of SDR Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) solutions, has announced the integration of Xona Space Systems’ LEO PNT constellation to its GNSS simulators and receiver solutions.

Developing LEO PNT

Xona’s PULSAR™ service is to become the first ever Low Earth Orbit (LEO) PNT constellation providing an advanced, independent service while augmenting existing Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). Benefits such as high power signals, advanced signals structure, and security techniques are offered to achieve high accuracy as well as enhanced jamming, spoofing, and multipath resilience in challenging RF environments.

This partnership is part of Syntony and Xona’s strategy to offer their clients innovative PNT solutions. “The demand for advanced and resilient PNT services is skyrocketing”, said Brian Manning, CEO of Xona Space Systems. “We are building an entire ecosystem from the ground up to address this demand. Having a full Rx-Tx solution available for all Xona signals is one of the keys to rapidly develop this LEO PNT ecosystem”.

Available for both simulation and receivers

Indeed, Syntony GNSS has been the first PNT services provider to have integrated the all of the Xona demo signals into its multi-GNSS simulation solution, Constellator™ in 2022. But to offer a full testing solution to this nascent ecosystem, Syntony has also developed a Xona-enabled GNSS receiver, as well. “We are very excited to partner with Xona Space Systems and help their users develop tomorrow’s solutions”, said Joël Korsakissok, CEO of Syntony GNSS. “Providing a Xona-enabled receiver alongside a full Xona simulation solution will allow the PNT stakeholders to speed up their development”.

The addition of the Xona constellation to Syntony GNSS’s simulation solution and receivers demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing its customers with the latest and most advanced GNSS technology. With the Xona constellation set to become operational in the near future, Syntony GNSS users can rest assured that their applications will be ready for this new PNT era opened by this LEO space segment.
