MEO

Medium Earth Orbit

The Medium Orbit altitude goes from 5 000 up to about 20 000 km above sea level. GNSS Constellations are located in this orbit area, around 20 000 km from earth’s sea level.

Being located relatively nearby GNSS constellations, MEO satellites can still benefit from GNSS, but they require a special configuration that can be achieved during their design and production. This operation must be done with a tight simulation of the front lobes of GNSS satellite antennas, and require a powerful GNSS Simulator, like Constellator™.
